At Rustic and Gold, we have always believed that the most interesting diamonds are the ones that make you stop and look twice. The rustic shield diamond did exactly that to us when we first came across it. 

That milky white surface, the natural matrix running through it, and also the shield shape with its angular geometry and organic character. It felt like nothing else we had worked with before.

We built this ring because we wanted to honor what this stone actually is. Don't polish it into something conventional. Don't hide what nature put inside it, but just frame it properly and let it be exactly what it is.

The bezel setting was the right choice for that. It wraps around the stone cleanly, holds it securely, and keeps every edge. And every surface of the diamond is fully visible. The rose gold does the rest.

The Stone: Salt and Pepper Diamond Ring

The center stone is a milky white shield shape rustic diamond weighing 1.18 carats and measuring 9.7 x 6.7 x 2.5mm.

• The shield shape gives the stone a distinctive angular silhouette. Wider at the top, tapering toward a point at the base

• The milky white coloring is entirely natural. Formed by inclusions and characteristics that developed inside the crystal over millions of years underground

• A gorgeous natural matrix runs through the stone. Unique to this diamond and impossible to replicate

• The center stone sits in a handcrafted 14k rose gold bezel setting. The bezel wraps cleanly around the full outline of the shield shape

• The bezel holds the stone securely while keeping every surface open and visible

• Round brilliant cut salt and pepper diamonds run along the band — 0.09 carats total — adding natural texture and movement

• The rose gold diamond band measures 1.5mm. Slim, comfortable, and also sits beautifully against the skin for daily wear

• The warmth of rose gold against the milky white of the center stone creates a softness. That feels completely right for this particular diamond
