Imperfectly Perfect.
Why We Made This: Black Speckled Diamond ring
We've always believed that the most interesting stones are the ones that look like they've lived a life.
When we came across this pear diamond, we didn't see any inclusions. We saw character. The deep black speckles running through it, the natural matrix scattered across its body — that's millions of years of history sitting in the palm of your hand. That's what drew us to it, and that's what we built this ring around.

This isn't a ring we made because it would sell. It's a ring we made because the stone told us to.
The Stone We Chose
We source our salt and pepper diamonds carefully, and this one stopped us the moment we saw it.
The pear shape weighs approximately 3.96 carats — substantial, present, impossible to miss. But what we love most about it isn't the size. It's the rose cut faceting we chose to bring out its depth. Rose cuts don't chase sparkle the way brilliant cuts do.

They catch light gently, softly, in a way that feels warm and considered rather than loud. For a stone with this much natural texture inside it, that felt right to us.
The black speckled matrix against rose gold is something we keep coming back to in our work. There's a contrast there — dark and blush, raw and refined — that we find endlessly compelling. This stone has it in abundance.
Our Design: The Band and Setting
We made a deliberate choice to keep this ring entirely in 14k rose gold — setting and band both.
We didn't want anything to interrupt the warmth of this piece. Mixed metals have their place, but here we wanted everything to read as one. The rose gold wraps around the stone and runs down the finger as a single, unified thing.

The band sits at 1.6mm — smooth, polished, and proportioned carefully to carry a center stone of this size without overwhelming the finger. We spent time getting that balance right. Too slim and the stone floats; too wide and it competes. At 1.6mm, it holds quietly and confidently.
The setting follows the pear's outline closely, protecting the pointed tip — the most delicate part of any pear stone — while keeping the full silhouette completely open and visible. That was important to us. We didn't want the setting to hide what we'd chosen.
Our Artisans
Every ring we create passes through the hands of craftsmen who have been doing this work for years.
Setting a pear diamond isn't straightforward, but the point requires precise prong placement — enough to protect it, careful enough not to crowd it. Our artisans work through that slowly, by hand, without shortcuts.

The band is shaped and polished before the stone is ever brought near it. Then the setting begins, unhurried, the way good craft always should be.
We take pride in that process. The finished ring should feel like it was made with intention, because it was.
Our Commitment
We use ethically sourced natural diamonds and recycled gold wherever we can. That matters to us — not as a talking point, but as a genuine part of how we work. We want the story behind every ring we make to be one our customers feel good about carrying forward.
