Our Inspiration: white pavé diamond band

At Rustic and Gold, we have always been drawn to stones that carry something real inside them. Salt and pepper diamonds do that better than almost anything else we work with. The natural black grey coloring, the scattered matrix of inclusions, the way the stone shifts in different light — none of that was designed. Nature did all of it, and we think that is worth celebrating rather than cutting away.

The emerald cut felt like the right home for a stone like this. Long clean edges, cropped corners, and also a wide open face that lets you see straight into the diamond without anything getting in the way.

We built this ring around that combination, and the white pavé diamond band underneath was our way of adding warmth and detail without taking anything away from the center stone.

The center stone is a one-of-a-kind emerald cut salt and pepper diamond weighing 1.38 carats and measuring 7.6 x 5.6mm. The natural black and grey coloring sits in that cool, moody range that looks completely different depending on where you are and what light hits it.
