Vintage Diamond Engagement Ring: Old Soul, New Love
There is something about a vintage ring that a modern one rarely captures. That feeling of depth — like the ring has a history behind it even on the day it is first worn. The Vintage Lab Diamond Engagement Ring in 14k white gold does exactly that.
A round brilliant lab-grown diamond at the center, a twisted diamond band running underneath it, and accent stones sitting along both sides in a way that feels like it came from another era entirely. It did not. We made it now. But it carries that feeling all the same.
Our inspiration for a vintage engagement ring
At Rustic and Gold, vintage jewelry has always fascinated us — not because we want to replicate the past, but because it got certain things genuinely right. The way Georgian and Victorian jewelers built detail into the band itself, rather than relying entirely on the center stone.

A Twisted shank creates movement and warmth that a straight band simply does not have. The way accent stones were placed along the band was not as an afterthought but as part of a considered overall design.
This ring takes all of that thinking and builds it around a lab-grown diamond — ethical, brilliant and also completely current. That combination is exactly what we were going for.
The Vintage Band — Where This Ring Lives
This is the detail that defines everything about this ring, and it deserves proper attention.
-
The band runs in smooth, polished 14k white gold at approximately 1.5mm — slim, refined, and also sits beautifully against the skin
-
Round brilliant-cut accent diamonds — approximately 0.23 carats total — sit along both sides of the band in individual settings
-
The accent stones are not pavé — they are spaced, each one sitting in its own setting with visible gold between them
-
That spacing is what gives the band its vintage quality — it reads like a piece of antique jewelry where every stone was placed individually with intention rather than filled in for coverage
-
The band narrows slightly as it moves away from the center stone, and the accent stones follow that taper — the whole design feels considered from every angle
-
From the side, this ring has a completely different character from the front — the accent stones catch light as the hand moves, creating a shimmer that trails away from the center stone in both directions
The Stone of a vintage engagement ring
The center stone is a round brilliant-cut lab-grown diamond weighing 0.65 carats and measuring 5.5 x 5.5mm.
-
Brilliant matrix faceting — clean, bright, and continuously catching light
-
At 5.5 x 5.5 mm, the stone sits proportioned perfectly for this band — present without overpowering the vintage detail running along the sides
-
Lab-grown — physically identical to a natural diamond, ethically created without any mining
-
Sits in a four-prong setting that keeps the full face of the stone open and visible
Our Craftsmanship: vintage engagement ring
Every ring at Rustic and Gold is handcrafted completely. The individually spaced accent stones along this band require each one to be set separately — placed, checked and secured before moving to the next. That is significantly more time than a standard pavé band, and the result shows in how the finished ring reads. Our craftsmen take that time every single time.
